เครื่องตรวจจับแก๊สแบบติดตั้ง (Fixed Type Gas Detectors) คือ อุปกรณ์ที่ได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อตรวจสอบการรั่วไหล หรือการสะสมของแก๊สอันตราย ในพื้นที่เฉพาะอย่างต่อเนื่อง เช่น ในพื้นที่ทำงาน โรงงานอุตสาหกรรม หรือจุดที่มีความเสี่ยงสูงอย่างใกล้ถังเก็บแก๊ส ห้องควบคุมระบบผลิต หรือพื้นที่อับอากาศ โดยตัวอุปกรณ์จะถูกติดตั้งแบบถาวรเพื่อทำงานตลอดเวลาอย่างอัตโนมัติ

สามารถตรวจจับความเข้มข้นของแก๊สเป้าหมาย และเมื่อพบค่าที่เกินเกณฑ์ความปลอดภัย จะสามารถส่งสัญญาณแจ้งเตือนไปยังระบบสัญญาณเตือน ระบบดับเพลิง หรือเชื่อมต่อกับระบบควบคุมกลางได้ทันที เพื่อป้องกันอันตรายที่อาจเกิดขึ้นจากแก๊สรั่วไหลหรือการสะสมของแก๊สในระดับที่เป็นอันตราย

เครื่องมือวัดแก๊สแบบติดตั้ง แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วนด้วยกันคือ หัวตรวจจับแก๊สอัจฉริยะ และหน้าจอแสดงค่าแก๊ส ซึ่งจะมีทั้งแบบ Single Channel และ Multi Channel สามารถส่งสัญญาณออกเป็นมาตรฐาน 4-20 mA ได้ และสามารถติดตั้งร่วมกับชุดไฟแสดงสถานะแจ้งเตือนต่างๆ ได้ ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้น ยังมีรุ่นที่สามารถวัดค่าและแสดงผลได้ในเครื่องเดียว เพื่อสะดวกต่อการใช้งานและติดตั้ง ทำให้ประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายในการซ่อมบำรุง
